To those serious about winning the world poker bot championships, here are a few things to consider. First the thing to remember is to be able to prepare the fort. People who go to war set up a camp first to be able to practice before the big battle. That is what you need to do with your software. The first order of business is to set up a room and a personal computer to house the winning robot that you are formulating. Computers are not that big an investment because there are a lot of affordable computer hardware options these days. The faster the machine the better. Apart from that, a player can also use refurbished computers to be able to save a little money. Programming a bot that plays poker at an advanced level is not such a sophisticated program to create. In fact, using second hand computers is encouraged.

Strategy

Your profile needs to be able to play well heads up (one on one poker), for those times that the table gets short. This is one thing that a lot of bots are really lacking.
